EAE4U
Assignments: Name:
Please note that those items with one * are mandatory at some point this semester. If you do not choose the * item the first time it appears, you must complete it the second (or substitute for another activity). All other activities allow for substitutions. If you wish to substitute an activity, please see me at least one week before the item is due. You will be given regular due dates throughout the term and all activities must be completed before the last day of the term. All activities, except the fist activity based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, will be based upon the topic of your choice to make one cohesive unit and will directly utilise the resources you have chosen.
Resources:
You must use at least four adult books, a minimum of one non-fiction and one fiction, which are related to your topic. These will be brought to school and must be approved by the teacher. These must be read in their entirety. They must be chosen and approved by September 17th or your books and topic will be chosen for you. NO EXCEPTIONS!
You must use at least one film or documentary or television show related to your topic.
You must use at least three magazine articles or newspaper articles or pamphlets to support your topic (online or print).
Charts:
Please make sure you are paying attention to due dates. The resources column must also be used; record names of books, magazine articles, websites, blogs, movies…

If you have other ideas you believe may be appropriate, feel free to present them to me orally or in writing.  Make sure you are able to describe how these would be beneficial to you for this class or for your future endeavours.  I am looking forward to seeing passion and brilliance in all of your work as this is to be a subject for which you feel passion or intense interest.

As a way of record keeping, please make sure you are filling out both columns regularly to make it easier to hand in at the end. You may prefer to begin your bibliography or works cited page with your first essay and just keep adding to it, to hand in at the end of the semester.
